‘‘The city sparkles from the park that spreads far behind and the metallic echo can be heard all the way here. And you can smell it too. I walk home along that incense-scented street. In the morning, the light comes into the room from the angle and my caregiver and I bathe in it. However, they don’t feel comfortable here. They decide to leave. They twist and swing along paths that only pigeons end up on their toes. They leave where homesickness lies without feeling homesick. They arrive, swaying on the ground from which the horizon can be seen.’’
The works reflect on landscape structures, escape and care. The exhibition a Place is a place/space built on the foundations of oil pastel works, small objects and figures. Droplets, little paws, purity suspended. The materials are raw and fragile, the objects create structures. They create a place where it is good to spread out. The laws of the environment do not apply to small figures and they can roam and spend time together wherever they please. They do not want to take over the space, as long as they just wander.
