Birth
Through body installations, Saari wants to reflect on inhumanity, alienness and the anthropomorphic contradiction of whether we can see our bodies as anything other than coherent human movement. The works are playful, even grotesquely theatrical, with a grey cloud hovering over them. One of the inspirations are German video artist Ulla von Brandenburg and her work Maskiert und vor allem (2022) where clown-like figures practice static patterns with their bodies.
